Farm Credit of the Virginias (FCV), a lending cooperative that serves Virginia, West Virginia and western Maryland, recently announced that Sandy Cox assumed the role of Business Service Specialist at the Bedford branch.
Although Cox is originally from Vinton, VA, she has lived in Bedford County for more than 35 years. She attended Virginia Western Community College for accounting, where she gained a strong foundation for a career in financial services.
Prior to joining the Farm Credit team, Cox served as a Merchant Operations Specialist for a local bank for eight years. She joins Farm Credit with valuable customer service experience and familiarity with the Bedford community.
Regarding her new role at Farm Credit of the Virginias, she shared, “I am excited to bring my years of experience in banking, accounting and customer service to my new position, and I look forward to serving my community.”
“Sandy has significant experience in both banking and providing excellent customer experiences, so we’re confident she will become a very valuable resource to our full- and part-time farmers and rural resident customer-owners,” said Joey Cornwell, Regional Sales & Lending Manager. “It is great to have someone with her expertise, energy and passion to serve our members and community.”
Outside of the office, Cox loves to travel and explore new places.
