Thanks to Big Island Fire Dept
THANK YOU to the Big Island Volunteer Fire Company for your spectacular work in responding to Matt’s Creek Fire. You put your boots on the ground, protecting your neighbors, our homes and property, and you did so 24/7. Your communications posted on your Facebook Page were excellent as you told the facts without hype. You kept us informed about the developments, both with your own posts and by adding updates from other firefighters. We slept better knowing you were on the job and knowing the facts.
And thank you to those from the Boonesboro and Forest Stations who joined in the effort and who worked with others who had more wildfire experience.
On this Thanksgiving Day, we are so grateful that we can welcome our family safely into our home, and will long remember your dedication, your service, and your professional approach to us and to how many other neighbors that made this possible.
As we pause today, we give thanks to each of you.

Barnhart delusional
Why does this surprise anyone? John Barnhart, prescribes violation of international humanitarian law as the means by which to solve the ongoing attacks between Israel and Hamas.
According to Amnesty International: “Under international humanitarian law, all parties to the conflict must, at all times, distinguish between civilians and civilian objects and fighters and military objectives and direct their attacks only at fighters and military objectives. Direct attacks on civilians or civilian objects are prohibited and are war crimes.”
Apparently, according to what God has spoken to John Barnhart, the only way to solve the problem is to indiscriminately exterminate the Palestinian civilians in order to flush out Hamas.
So, the man who believes he is proposing the will of God advocates the murder of innocent civilians? If you can read his column and not be horrified, you’re as delusional as John Barnhart.
