    The National Day of Prayer drew approximately 40 people to the courthouse steps in Bedford around noon for prayer, Thursday. Many also gathered in Moneta as several Lake area churches held the third annual observance of the national event at Downtown Moneta.
    Other churches throughout the area also held observances of the event, joining people all over the country in the 61st annual event.

Revival services at Evington UMC
Evington United Methodist Church will hold revival services on Sunday, May 6 through Wednesday, May 9, at 6:30 p.m. Chaplain Blonnie Gregory will be guest speaker each night and there will be special music each night. The Rev. Orville Gregory Jr. will have special music on Monday night.

Spring Swing Charity Golf Tournament

Friends of Faith Relay Team will host a benefit for the American Cancer Society on Saturday, April 14, beginning at 6 p.m. Featured at the concert will be the Lynch Station’s Men’s Chorus. It will be held at Mountain View Union Church on 460 West near Moose Lodge on Miller Lane.
